Yibel Academy
Our Mission
Yibel Academy is an online learning platform founded by Deacon Dr. Dawit Muluneh to help young people and families in Ethiopian and Eritrean Orthodox communities grow in faith and knowledge. Many young people raised in the Church, especially outside Ethiopia, have real questions but struggle to find answers in a language and style they can relate to. Yibel exists to close that gap.
What We Teach
Yibel offers self-paced online courses, including Deepening Faith: Exploring Church Doctrines, an overview of the theological teachings of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, and courses in Ge'ez covering the Ethiopic script, grammar, vocabulary, and translation of Ge'ez texts. New content is added regularly.
